LP650 pressure transducers sensors for industrial applications – for general use – suitable for heavy use in industrial environment.
They are characterized by a monolithic measuring element structure – worked from solid 17-4 PH stainless steel to make the measuring membrane – on which the measuring element is applied and the 1/4 “BSP hydraulic connection is obtained. This construction provides maximum strength and reliability to the most varied conditions of use, with no possibility of chemical contamination and maximum compatibility with the most disparate fluids. All the mechanical group is subjected to heat treatments that make it suitable for the typical use conditions of industrial applications, with an internal design aimed at reducing the effects of fatigue.
The construction process also avoids the presence of welds inside the sensor, typical of semiconductor technologies where the measuring membrane is welded on the mechanical body, thus obtaining greater strength and insensitivity of these transducers to over-pressures and other phenomena typical of hydraulic applications. The internal design has also been studied to minimize – on the electrical zero signal – the effect of the mechanical coupling between the hydraulic connection and the pressure line. The product is not suitable for use with oxygen.
Each non-amplified pressure transducer is equipped with its own individual characterization certificate and has an integrated calibration circuit – which can be activated by the user – to facilitate the calibration of the measurement system with the panel meter or with a PLC, avoiding the need of expensive external calibrators.
The calibration signal is obtained by positioning a permanent magnet (supplied with the transducer) near the sensor housing, corresponding to a fictitious pressure value, whose value is described in the certificate under “Calibration equivalent load value”.
The transducer is available in non-amplified version, with typical sensitivity of 2mV/V, or as amplified version with voltage signal 0 to 5 V, or 0 to 10 V or as current output 4-20 mA.
The electrical connection to the sensor takes place by means of a removable pipette connector – supplied with the sensor – type EN 175301-803 Micro-C (ex DIN 43650C) (3 + E) to be wired, with integrated 90 ° cable gland Pg7.
